Media sharing and social networking sites are one of the fastest
growing sectors on the internet. This growth is fuelled by user
generated content which encourages users to share media such as
images and videos. Unfortunately unregulated uploading of user
generated content is open to abuse and can be used to share
pornography.
Providers of UGC sites increasingly understand the need to protect
their service against such abuse and in some cases regulatory
compliance compels them to have pornographic content removed.
However the task of identifying pornographic media within the mass
of legitimate content is a daunting challenge. Most providers
deploy manual moderation teams to review each image which is a
costly solution and which simply does not scale as volumes
increase.
Deployment of Image Analyzer allows owners of the sites to scan
millions of images and videos quickly and efficiently while
associating a risk score to each file. Suspect media can be brought
to the attention of a human review team for further investigation
while low risk media can be ignored. Image Analyzer prioritizes
content; improving the productivity of human review teams and
identifying pornographic media before users are exposed.
Image Analyzer can either be deployed on site using the Image
